Saona is a delightful, lightweight transitional season and summer yarn. It's a blend of 50% Spanish Merino and Manchega wool and 50% Andalusian cotton - all of it traceable, grown, spun and dyed in Spain. Saona is dyed before it's spun, resulting in a beautiful heathered look.
Cotton can be difficult to grow and source sustainably as it needs a lot of water to be grown. So imagine our delight when we found this blend - locally sourced and produced, by a 4th generation GOTS-certified family-owned mill!

Variance, designed by Keiko Kikuno, is a sweater knitted sideways with a stripe pattern that is achieved using short rows. The stripe pattern was inspired by a Japanese traditional textile pattern called Tatewaku that represents how the steam rises. The sweater for sure will go well with both a skirt and pants as the length of the sweater is neither too short or too long!
Beatrice Perron Dahlen's Heron Island is a delightful, gentle take on a lace yoke sweater. The geometric stitch pattern leaves room for the yarn to shine, and is lovely to work. Knit from the top down, it can easily be modified to your desired body and sleeve length.
Jenny Ansah's Lupiini Top is a beautiful, breezy summer staple! Knit top down, it's deep V-neck and cropped length are super modern, and the sweet lupine flower pattern at the bottom of the body is a gorgeous detail.
Jessie Maed's Open Edge Tee is one of those knits that I would reach for over and over again in my wardrobe. Soothing stockinette combined with dropped stitch accents, a super wearable shape and V-neck make it perfect for summer!
Ronja Hakalehto's Helle Top combines a classic shape with sweet summer details: A set of delicate mother-of-pearl buttons accents the fronts, while the hem is tied to fit over a pair of high-waisted jeans or your favorite summer skirt.
Such soft and light yarn! Guthrie is a perfect non-color so you can combine it with any color you wish!
Very soft, will be so nice to knit up
I just keep smiling as I open the box.
I'm not sure I can use it as a summer yarn though.
It is so beautiful 😍
I'd like to use them with some mohair.
Or holding double also can be a good solution.
Anyway I just love it!
As above, a lovely, soft yarn. Has a tendency to split so a wee bit of care is needful whilst knitting. I wish there was a larger range of colours, but all in all I am very pleased with this yarn.
Es ist eine wunderschöne Wolle, verstrickt sich super schnell und hat eine tolle Lauflänge. Absolut super und empfehlenswert!
