I love, love, love Summer Lee's colorful, playful sock patterns – they brighten up every day, whether you pick one of her designs from your sock drawer or have one on the needles! I'm so thrilled we get to carry her wonderful new book "The Sock Project" which includes 25 (!!) new sock patterns, ranging from basics to stripes, ribbing, lace, cables, texture - you name it, there's a pattern for it in this book.
In addition to the patterns, The Sock Project includes insights on how to pick yarns and needles for your socks and how to care for them once they're finished. You can see a few spreads in the picture section!
Please note: This is a preorder. We're expecting the next delivery of the book mid July.

I´ve been following Summer Lee for quite some time now on Instagram and also via her podcast on Youtube (highly recommended). She makes sock knitting so accessible and fun and this translates perfectly into the book. The book is organized into sections, each enabling you to learn more skills. It´s a great book.
A little note on purchasing the book from Making Stories - due to circumstances beyond any control of Making Stories, it took over three months for the book to arrive. Simply put, the (American) publisher had vastly underestimated the demand for this book and wasn´t able to send any books over to Europe. Making Stories clearly communicated once they were made aware of this issue and kindly sent over the other item I had purchased. As soon as they had any developments on the shipment of the book, they informed me. Top notch customer service!
Every Tuesday our newsletter arrives in your inbox, full to the brim with Making Stories goodness. If you would like to join in on the fun, fill in the form below.
