We're at the end of an intense year - I think not only for us here at Making Stories, but for a lot of us in our lives, 2022 has been ... something. Thank you for sticking around, for supporting us, for ordering from us, for spreading the word about our magazine and our yarns.
One thing I want to do more of in 2023 is documenting my knits here, in this space. We're starting early with this blog post - with my latest FO! (A full recap of my Lueur shawl is coming in the new year)
Meet: Aurin's Treasured Cowl!

I am so delighted to bring back a beloved category to the blog: "Where in the world is Making Stories?", in which I chat to a wonderful stockist of ours and introduce you to their story. LYS - local yarn shops - are crucial to our community, and to small businesses like ours, which is why I can't wait to get more stockists into the spotlight here!
We're starting off with a very special guest today - Knit With Attitude in London. Maya has been a champion of Making Stories since the beginning, and I was lucky enough to meet her (and George) in September at Unravel. She's recently expanded her shop, and I loved hearing all about it, and about how she selects which products to carry!

Hello lovelies,
one of my all-time favorite things to knit is ... hats. They knit up super quickly (at least in a heavier weight yarn), are really, really useful, and make for great gifts. Bonus points for patterns with interesting texture or cables - they are also extremely fun to knit!
As this month it's all about Gift Knitting here at Making Stories, I thought it would be fun to put together a post about those quick-to-knit and wonderful-to-gift hat patterns - and throw in a little goodie for you: All of these knit up beautifully in our new Hudson + West Co Forge.

Hi lovelies! It's that time of the year - the holidays are fast approaching, and the gift knitting has begun!
I really love gifting hand-knits, preferrably ones that are quick to knit up and make for a really enjoyable project - after all, I want to have fun while knitting them, and feel good about the finished object.

Hi lovelies,
on the heels of our most recent yarn launch - have you checked out Forge and Weld yet? - I'm back with a post filled with pattern inspiration.
(Not so) secretly, writing these is one of my favorite things! I just LOVE a good knitting pattern, and I really enjoy dreaming of future cast ons.

Dear lovelies,
You know those origins that are almost too fantastic to be true? Well, Hudson + West's - our latest yarn and pattern addition to the webshop - one is right there with the best of them. Sloane Rosenthal and Meghan Babin, H+W's co-founders, first came up with the idea of a designer-driven, knitter-focused, 100% US-made yarn company at Rhinebeck, one of the biggest sheep and wool festivals on the planet. On a napkin.
Every Tuesday our newsletter arrives in your inbox, full to the brim with Making Stories goodness. If you would like to join in on the fun, fill in the form below.
As a thank you, we gift you a digital publication of your choice!
