New in: Our Issue 10 Yarn Kits!
Hello lovelies,
fall is getting closer and closer, which means that today I'm back with a short, but sweet overview of the new kits and yarns we'll have for Issue 10. These are exclusively available to our Magazine Subscribers and Collective Members from July 31 to August 6, and will launch for everyone else together with Issue 10 on September 5.
This time, we'll have kits for two favorite, yet very different sweater patterns:

Exactly one year ago this fall, we launched our very first boxes – our beloved Sock Boxes! Filled with all-natural yarns and knitting goodies, they were our first foray into curating beautiful, sustainable products under one theme. To this day, this is one of my favorite things I do here at Making Stories. Keeping an eye out for makers who share our values and create gems that I think you might love, working with them on a joint theme and color palette, designing the little stickers and postcards that go with each box, and finally packing them all up and sending them into your loving hands. Like with all things though, you learn while you're doing, and so for our one-year-anniversary of the Sock Boxes, I knew I wanted to slightly update the concept. Based on feedback from you, I knew that you wanted an option without notions, and based on our experience with the process, I knew that I wanted to streamline the subscription a little. My Top 3 Summer Patterns from Past Making Stories Issues!
Hi lovelies! I'm back this week with one of my favorite types of blog posts – a favorite patterns post! I dug deep into the archives for this one as I wanted to combine our current sale (5 EUR for print copies of our back issues and books!) with my desire for more, more, more summer tops and tees in my wardrobe.
The funny thing? I set out to pick patterns from all the publications we still have in print, and ended up picking three from one: BREEZE. Oh well!
I paired them with some of my favorite shades of summer yarns - and one of them (can you guess which one?) is waiting to jump on my needles right now:
FO #8 / 2023: My Grassland Tee
Hi lovelies! What is that, two FO blog posts back to back? It seems I'm on a roll - a roll to knit (and finish!) summer tees, apparently.
Today, I'd love to introduce you to the latest member of my summer wardrobe: My new Grassland Tee!
Grassland is designed by Susan Schädler, and was originally published in our Issue 6. (It's now available as an individual PDF too!)
It's - like my last FO, the Blossom T-Shirt - a drop-shoulder short-sleeved tee, but with a dramatically different construction and look. Let's get into it!

Hi lovelies! I'm back today with a look at one of my latest FOs which has quickly become an absolute favorite in my wardrobe: My Blossom T-Shirt!
Blossom is a pattern from our latest Issue 9, designed by Ayano Tanaka. It's a short-sleeved, drop-shoulder tee with a cropped, boxy shape and a really sweet V-neck.
I fell in love with it when I first saw Ayano's submission, and I am so glad that I made this tee - it kickstarted my roll of knitting on summer shirts, was delightful to knit and is a joy to wear.
