From Jill, the designer: "This set is inspired by my Merrymaker Pullover for Making Stories Issue 7 Joy. Merrymaker is such a happy knit that we thought those of you who aren’t sweater knitters might like a hat or cowl, or a set of both, to knit instead! I hope this knit set brings you lots of joy and inspires lots of happy memories."
This cowl is knit in the round from the top edge to the bottom. It utilizes stranded colorwork. A slight funnel shape is formed as the bottom of the cowl is worked on one size larger needle.
This hat is knit in the round from the brim to the top.

A blend of Polwarth, Romney and Hebridean transformed into a worsted-spun DK weight yarn. It comes in the most magical colorways!
Garthenor Beacons is a lovely soft yarn, very easy to knit. It perfectly shows off the cable stitches in my sweater! I love the color Kettle for it's deep dark green, but wouldn't mind experimenting with all the colors in Beacon range!
A lace weight yarn with 70% Mohair and 30% Silk, produced to RMS and REACH standards. It's perfect held together with Knitting for Olive’s Merino, no matter whether you choose colorways that are very close together or more contrasting for a slight marl.
I did not use the yarn yet! But I‘m sure it will be good!
