The pattern is graded to 5 sizes and comes with measuring instructions and a little calculation exercise to ensure the perfect, snug fit on your own foot. They're knit toe-up with a Fleegle's Heel - Hanna Lisa's absolute favorite heel to fit a medium-to-high instep.

Finished foot circumference: 17 (18, 19, 20.25, 21.25) cm / 6.75 (7, 7.5, 8, 8.5)” - recommended to be worn with 15% negative ease at the ball of your foot.

Foot length is customizable; I recommend a foot length with about 10% of negative ease. Leg length is customizable.

woollentwine Corriedale Sock (100% Corriedale, 400 meters / 437 yards per 100 g / 3.5 oz)

1 skein or 400 meters / 437 yards of Fingering weight yarn

Sample shown is knit in colourway Winter Blossom.

NEEDLES
2 mm / US 0 circular needle with a cable length of at least 80 cm / 32” (or needle size to obtain gauge)

This pattern uses the magic loop technique. You can of course also work it on mini circulars or DPNs!

GAUGE
34 sts x 48 rounds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” (in the round, in stockinette stitch, after blocking)

Ihr wisst, wie sehr wir gute, natürliche Sockenwolle lieben – und „Close“ von Ovis Et Cetera ist ein absolutes Traum-Sockengarn. Es wurde exklusiv für Ovis Et Cetera von John Arbon Textiles in Großbritannien gesponnen und ist eine tolle Mischung aus Devon Closewool, Exmoor Blueface und Zwartbles von Schafherden, die in der Nähe der Spinnerei leben. In seiner ungefärbten Form hat es eine wunderschöne melierte graue Farbgebung, und wenn Saskia mit ihrer Färbemagie dazustößt, verwandelt es sich in die schönsten leuchtenden Juwelentöne.

Close wird mit ein wenig zusätzlichem Twist für erhöhte Haltbarkeit gesponnen. Es hat eine tolle Maschendefinition und einen kleinen Halo, was es ideal für Zopfmuster, Textur und glatt rechte Maschen macht. Außerdem eignet es sich hervorragend für Colorwork!
