Frau Woellfchen's genius Southdown Sock Sets combine two of our favorite things: breed-specific fibers and sock yarn!
Each Southdown Sock Set consists of two braidsthat are identically dyed– spin them up identically for a pair of matching socks, or differently for a "sisters, not twins" approach! The Southdown sheep fleeces are robust, have a lot of crimp, and do not felt easily, which makes them the ideal spinning fiber for creating sock yarn.
The Southdown Sock Sets are hand-dyed by Heike of Frau Woellfchen in her studio in the middle of Germany.
This blend is fabulous for new and experienced spinners alikeand works well on wheels and spindles. Each set contains approx. 150g of fiber.
