Marina Skua's Skua Blend is a custom blend of naturally colored British sheep breeds, designed for a wonderfully easy and delightful spinning experience.
The Skua blend combines Dorset Horn, Teeswater, Manx Loaghtan, Jacobs and Cheviot and is created by Wingham Wool Work in Gloucesterhire, UK.
"Sunbaked", this special edition colorway, was developed by Marina for our handmade Winter Box 2024. It's exclusive to us, and oh so sweet! Glimpses of peach and apricot meet raspberry on a delicious naturally multicolored base. Fabulous for hats, mittens and shawls!
This blend is fabulous for new and experienced spinners alike, works well on wheels and spindles, and can also be used for felting
If you are curious, check out our blog posts about the difference between wool tops, batts, and rolags and what to make with hand-spun yarn. And if you are new to spinning, how about how to get started with spinning?
