Hello lovelies, and a very, very warm welcome to the first day of this year's Winter Celebration! I'm so glad you're here!

If you've been following us for longer than a year, you know that the Winter Celebration was one of the heart projects of Claire, our beloved Marketing and Social Media Manager. Sadly, Claire has left the team this year, but I couldn't resist to ask her to come back for the Winter Celebration - what better way to start off with than with a little something directly from her?

    Claire's Winter Celebration Playlist

Claire put together a full Winter Celebration playlist for us! I love this so much - I can't wait to snuggle up under a blanket tonight, put this on, and knit on my Lueur shawl.

What's on your needles today? I'd love to hear about it in the comments!

Also - Winter Celebration Box folx, WELCOME! I'm so happy to be opening my very own box alongside you. I'll share a little bit more about every product here on the day that we open that particular gift. So, my recommendation would be: First open the parcel, then this page!

We're starting our Winter Celebration Box with light. I wanted something that embodies the spirit of this time of the year for me, personally, but I think also for a lot of us, regardless of whether or what we believe in. Hope. Light. Lighting a candle in a dark place. And I was so happy when I found the candle that you're now hopefully holding in your hands - or have already lit, maybe?

It's a hand-poured 100% beeswax candle, made by the Kaspar Hauser Stiftung here in the north of Berlin. The Stiftung works with and provides assisted living space for people with disabilities, and I'm so glad we were able to include their beautiful candles.

Dear Uta and Jessica, that sounds like absolutely lovely knitting plans!! Uta, I would love to see pictures of all those makes – that’s a wonderful Making Stories mini collection right there :) My own sweater in Thrive is languishing in a corner – you inspired my to pick it back up again!

I’m so looking forward to this little celebration with you, Hanna-Lisa! I’ve just cast on for a second sample of my latest pattern design. I’ll be knitting along with my testers and I’m really looking forward to it :)

    Hey Hanna-Lisa,

I’m knitting a pair of Thaba socks, my Zingiber is in need of a button band and I just finished Molecule. Also a sweater quantity of Thrive unspun just arrived at my door today (literally, how rare is that?? Well done DHL) so this is quite the best start of December I can imagine =)
Thanks for a lovely playlist too!
    Have a lovely one everybody—
    warmly
    Uta
