Hi lovelies! I'm back today with a look at one of my latest FOs which has quickly become an absolute favorite in my wardrobe: My Blossom T-Shirt!
Blossom is a pattern from our latest Issue 9, designed by Ayano Tanaka. It's a short-sleeved, drop-shoulder tee with a cropped, boxy shape and a really sweet V-neck.
I fell in love with it when I first saw Ayano's submission, and I am so glad that I made this tee - it kickstarted my roll of knitting on summer shirts, was delightful to knit and is a joy to wear.

Hello lovelies,
You know how much I adore a good pattern inspo blog post, and so imagine my delight when I got to play with Pinterest again today! We have a brand-new Pinterest board filled to the brim with knitting pattern ideas for linen yarns, and I couldn't resist pulling out five that I think make great early summer wardrobe staples.
All of these are relatively quick to knit up, so if you haven't started on your summer knitting yet, don't fret - there's still time!

Hi lovelies,
Let's take another look at one of those small batch yarns that makes me feel giddy with excitement - Woolly Mammoth Fibre Co's latest limited edition yarn, Zwartbles x Blue Texel 4ply.
I've known Emma from Woolly Mammoth Fibre Co. for as long as I can remember being an active member of the knitting world. Her natural dyeing is unparalleled, and when she ventured out to create locally sourced, small batch yarns a few years ago, it became clear that she also excels at curating unique blends.

Hi lovelies,
I'm back today with one of my favorite things: The story behind yarn! There's a reason we're called "Making Stories" - I love telling how and why the amazing yarns, notions and patterns we're lucky enough to carry are created. The makers behind them are all, without exception, dedicated, wonderful, thoughtful people, and so talking with them about their products is such a joy.
Today, we're taking a closer look at Close, the all-natural sock yarn by Ovis et cetera we just started carrying. The minute I spotted it on Saskia's Instagram, I knew that I wanted it for the shop. It's custom-spun by the folx at John Arbon Textiles who really, really know their stuff when it comes to creating yarn.

Hello lovelies,
I just had the besttime browsing Ravelry - I wanted to update our Pinterest board with new pattern suggestions for sport-weight yarn, and figured out that I could filter out patterns that have been published in 2023, aka are brand new!
There are some real gems in there, and so I couldn't resist pulling out my top 5 and trying to match them as close as possible to one of my all-time favorite sport-weight yarn: De Rerum Natura's Ulysse.

Hi lovelies,
I'm back today with the first of two blog posts to celebrate the addition of our first unspun yarn to the shop - Wooldreamers' Manchelopis! (Coming on January 20!)
You know how much I love exploring knitting patterns, thinking about good pattern and yarn combinations, and finding gems that not a lot of people know about (yet). So it comes as exactly no surprise to anyone that I had the BEST time putting together pattern ideas for knitting with unspun yarn - so much so that there are way too many to fit into a blog post.
