Welcome to April's Sock Subscription Pattern Inspiration Page! I'm so glad you're here!
April's Sock Yarn was inspired by the vibrant colors of modern art pieces. Golden yellows and gentle sage greens combined with pops of coral, hot pink and black - a gentle nod to the over-night appearance of blooms and leaves we experience during the first few weeks of spring.
I always enjoy seeing your unboxing videos and what you decide to make with your Sock Subscription, so do send us an email or tag us on Instagram (@_makingstories) if you like to share!

| Designer: Barbara von Stieglitz |
I love Barbara's gentle take on lace - the perfect spring sock, if you ask me, and just the right amount of "potato-chip-y" (just one more round... and one more...).
The Dancing Sunlight Socks are knit from the cuff down, and you can omit the contrasting colors for a full-on celebration of color in this quarter's sock colorway.

The "Along the Garden Path" socks are a beautiful ode to spring! A delightful off-centered cable adorns the foot and leg, while the stockinette sections leave ample room for hand-dyed yarns to shine.
I think they're the perfect pattern to showcase the multiple colors of April's sock yarn!
| Designer: Tin Can Knits |
I adore Tin Can Knits' patterns - they're the ones I point friends to who are just beginning to knit - and the Flax Sweaters are some of my go-to baby and kid knits. The Rye Light socks feature the same garter accent stripe as the Flax patterns, only this time on, you guessed it, socks!
I love knitting up multi-colored, hand-dyed yarns in both garter and stockinette as both types of fabric bring out different sides of the yarn.
