Welcome to January's Sock Subscription Pattern Inspiration Page! I'm so glad you're here!
January's Sock Yarn was inspired by all things cozy – warm, woolly blankets, a hand-thrown mug with a cup of hot chocolate and cream, well-fitting hand-knit socks on the feet and a good book next to you. I adore the colorway Aurore from Maison Corlène came up with, and I hope you find a pattern you'd like to knit here!
I always enjoy seeing your unboxing videos and what you decide to make with your Sock Subscription, so do send us an email or tag us on Instagram (@_makingstories) if you like to share!

For this quarter's sock yarn, I also wanted a pattern with a "just-the-next-round" kind of pattern, and found the perfect match in Florence Miller's Petal Drop Socks.
They are knit cuff down with an intuitive, easy-to-memorize lace pattern, and a heel flap and gusset for an excellent fit.
| Designer: Agata "Amanita" Mackiewicz |
Agata's Acorns Socks are the sock siblings of her Acorn Mittens from Issue 8! They're knit toe-up with a heel flap and gusset and striking geometric lines up the foot and leg.
They give way to the acorn-like texture pattern that inspired the name of the socks before ending in a folded cuff.
| Designer: Lisa K. Ross |
The graphic geometric pattern of Lisa Ross's Stone Table Socks had me at hello! They're such a great way to add visual interest to a sock, and what's even better is that they're worked without a cable needle.
