BC Garn's Semilla Melange is a wonderful organic allrounder yarn. It's 100% wool, and woollen-spun, which makes it lofty and warm at the same time.
Semilla Melange is GOTS certified, which ensures the highest organic standards when it comes to how the fiber is grown, washed, spun, and dyed. The fleeces come from mulesing-free farms in South America, the spinning and dyeing is done in Turkey. Like all our yarns, it's non-superwash and plastic-free.
Semilla Melange is also a wonderful companion to our favorite color-changing yarn Zauberwolle and the delightfully fluffy Bérénice!

BC Garn's Semilla Melange is one of those yarns that works super well for a wide variety of projects - and that's one of the reasons we love it so much!
It's light and airy yet warm, making it perfect for sweaters and shawls alike. We also love it for kids' knits - it's pretty resilient without being too scratchy.
Semilla Melange is also great for colorwork! It's woollen-spun, which means stitches tend to melt beautifully into one another, which makes knitting colorwork easy and fun.
And the icing on the cake: GOTS certified! This ensure the highest organic standards throughout the entire production chain, from growing the fleeces to washing, carding and spinning, to dyeing.
Old Love by Terri Maue is a round-necked drop-shoulder pullover reminiscent of an old favourite with a contemporary vibe. The design was inspired by a walk down memory lane to the golden age of ski fashion from the mid to late 1970s and early 1980s - sweaters and jackets with lots of stripes and bright, bold colour blocking.
With its easy to follow shaping and simple colourwork, Embrace is the perfect first cast-on for your little one. Claire designed this sweater to be both beginner and experienced knitter friendly. It is swift and enjoyable to knit with just the right amount of techniques and details to keep you challenged and engaged.
Boirina by Elena Solier Jansà is an everyday and easy to knit sweater, a timeless piece for every wardrobe.
It's knitted bottom up and in the round, with drop-shoulder sleeves making it super wearable. The sweater features a "secret" cable panel on both sides that continues in the sleeves. With a recommended ease of 20-25 cm / 8-10” at the bust, the sweater gives a relax fit that suits every body type.
Semilla Melange is great for lightweight sweaters and cardigans as well as for big shawls knit at an open gauge.
It shines in colorwork (the bloom after blocking is unreal!), so hats and sweaters in stranded colorwork or intarsia are a wonderful choice as well.
We also love it for kids' knits, especially outer layers - a lightweight, yet cozy warm sweater or little cardigan.
The colours are lovely, and worked perfectly for stranded colour work, but I was surprised by just how soft this yarn was. I've had no issues at all wearing it directly against my skin, which isn't always the case with 'sticky' yarn. I've had to immediately place a repeat order so that my own sweater doesn't get stolen by my husband!
