About Dancing Skies
During lockdown in the UK in 2020 and without a garden, all I was able to do was look up. Look up towards the sky. Look up and watch as the clouds dance high above me. And then all that’s left was to come back down to earth. The colour and texture of these socks is designed to show the contrast between land and sky, between sky and cloud and the effortless dance between them shown within the cable.These socks are knit cuff down, featuring a 2x2 rib with a colourwork cable, and a contrasting short row heel and toe.

Needles
2.25 mm / US 1 circular needle with a cable length of at least 80 cm / 32” (or needle size to obtain gauge)
This pattern uses the magic loop technique. To use double-pointed needles, divide sts between 4 needles evenly.
Gauge
38 sts x 48 rounds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” (in the round, in colourwork cable stitch, after blocking)
