Seafoam is a gorgeous pair of socks inspired by the feeling of waves reaching out, touching our feet, when we sit at the seashore.
They are worked toe-up with a cable offset to the side of the foot and leg on a background of reverse stockinette.
The entire sock is worked from the inside-out and flipped to the right side at the end; this way, you're only working soothing simple stockinette instead of reverse stockinette.

Ovis Et Cetera Close
This pattern is available in Making Stories Magazine Issue 11, Seashore.
You know how much we love a good, all-natural sock yarn - and Ovis Et Cetera's "Close" is as close to perfect as it gets. Custom-spun by John Arbon Textiles in the UK, it's a delightful blend of Devon Closewool, Exmoor Blueface and Zwartbles from sheep flocks that live close to the mill. In its undyed shape, it's a beautiful heathered grey, and when Saskia adds her dyeing magic to it, it transforms into the most gorgeous glowing jewel tones.
Close is spun with a little bit of extra twist for increased durability. It has great stitch definition and a bit of a halo, which makes it ideal for cables, texture, and soothing stockinette. Plus, it works really, really well for colorwork!
