- Agata Mackiewicz | Lanivendole A Chic Blend -
I, for one, am always looking for those fun-to-knit and easy-to-wear gift knits, the ones for which getting the size right doesn't matter that much, and that give just as much joy while we're making them as while we're gifting them. Agata Mackiewicz' Acorn Mittens fit the bill perfectly - they're super fun to make with all their gorgeous textures, and a pair of fingerless mittens is something everyone can use.

Amadou is the French name of a mushroom growing on tree trunks that can be used as a starter for lighting a fire. Warm and cosy, the cardigan could be worn as a layering piece, almost like a coat, for chilly
autumnal mornings or evenings.
It features all-over texture, intricate cable details, and pockets - what's more to love?
- Elena Solier Jansà | Xolla Wool Pastoreta -
The Cingles Vest will keep your heart warm and your arms free! It is an easy to wear layering piece, inspired by traditional Fair Isle knits. Elena opted for a low contrast palette, inspired by an autumnal forest landscape: the mossy green vegetation melts with the earthy browns and are splashed by the grey blue sky and the white clouds; the sparks of the fire shine in the middle of this bucolic landscape.
- Eimear Earley | Stolen Stitches Blasta Light -
Coill (Irish for ‘wood’ or ‘forest’, pronounced ‘kyle’ or ‘kweel’, depending on dialect) is a pair of lightweight mittens with cable motifs.
The all-over cable and travelling stitch motif is inspired by an imagined setting for a campfire: a clearing, surrounded by trees, with twisting branches overhead, and tangled roots underground, sheltering the campers, hidden wildlife, and imagined magical creatures from fairy tales.

- Fabienne Gassmann | The Grey Sheep Co. Hampshire DK -
From Fabienne Gassmann, the designer: "I have a fondness for a good hoodie peeking out from under more formal outerwear. Foster aims to be just that, adding a bit of street cred to any outfit. On top of that, it’s perfect for an evening campfire. Remember the age old issue of being super toasty on the front, facing the fire and icy cold at the back of the neck? Pop on a hood, problem solved.”
- Elizabeth Nihoniho | Wild Earth Yarns Somerset DK -
Here's Elizabeth about the campfire nights that inspired Hana: "With the sea booming below, the myriad of stars above and the occasional sheep calling to another, it is magic and these are the moments the Hana Sweater is inspired by. The word Hana is te reo Māori (the Māori language) for flame, warmth and heat which is perfect for this sweater as campfires conjure up cosy cables and texture!"
- Audrey Borrego | Bouclelaine Merinos-Angora -
This cosy shawl alternates varying textures for a fun experience. Going from twisted stitches to bicolour moss stitch, from bobbles to a garter tweed motif, it is a sampler of textures and colours. Pair a light neutral with a stronger fall color, or go tone-in-tone with a lighter and darker shade of the same color!
- Susan Schädler | Ginger Twist Studio Masham Mayhem DK -
Orlina is named after a small river in Spain where Susan Schädler, the designer, used to spend their Easter holidays. They often sat around the campfire, wrapped in cosy, oversized pullovers - just like Orlina! This pullover has a seamless top-down construction in half-brioche rib. The raglan yoke with striking raglan lines, long sleeves, slightly cropped and oversize look hugs anybody.

- Hanna Maciejewska | Life In The Long Grass Highland DK -
Pyrite is designed by Hanna Maciejewska and knit from the bottom up. You start with a bout of ribbing that seamlessly flows into larger and smaller cables that then go ALL OUT and start interlocking and crossing over and doing all sorts of cool things! A V-neck and reverse stockinette 3/4 length sleeves balance out all that cabled goodness.

The design of this scarf reflects the types of sojourns we might take. On one side, cables create structured lines, like established city streets or well-worn trails through a forest. The reverse side reveals a more organic motif, like the meandering path of a spontaneous journey. The tapered ends are an acknowledgement that every sojourn has a starting point and a final destination.

- Natalie Sheldon | Ritual Dyes Maven -
From Natalie Sheldon, the designer: "When I hear the word “campfire” I immediately think of our rustic camp in the woods. We often build a campfire to cook up our meals, heat our water, or just to relax and enjoy the evening. To me, campfires evoke a feeling of calm, quiet solitude – a back-to-basics feeling away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I hope knitting (and wearing) these socks brings you the same feeling.”
- Barbara Gottwik | Mominoki Yarn Finnwool -
Barbara Gottwik's Walden Socks are a beautiful interpretation of our theme, using textural, geometric lines to take us to that campfire in the middle of the woods. To me, the stitches travelling up the leg look like sparks flying into the night sky. I can't help but imagine sitting in a clearing in the forest, watching the flames dance, following the tiny sparks with my eyes until they miraculously disappear.
