    Welcome to April's Sock Box Pattern Inspiration Page! I'm so glad you're here!

    I started working on this moodboard at the beginning of winter, when it had just gotten cold in Berlin, and the thought of the first leaves slowly emerging from bare branches was such a mood booster.

    That feeling of hope, of joy, of growth, of firsts is what I want you to have when you open this box. I am SO delighted with what the makers we're working with have made from the inspiration of this mood board, and I'm very sure that you're going to love them as much as I do.

    Our pattern recommendations for the April sock box:

    Lyne Socks

    These are the socks that made me fall in love - hard! - with El Robledal de la Santa's Moherino. I cast them on and adored how the subtle color shifts and texture complemented the sea shell lace and shone throughout the stockinette foot.

    The ankle length is great for warmer temperatures, and while there are only two sizes available, you can adjust the chart by adding / taking away repeats until you arrive at your desired stitch count.

    Fiona's Wild Grass Socks from our Issue 5 (also available as a single pattern) are inspired by the microscopic cross cuts of cells which are beautifully represented in the delicate, crescent-shaped lace motif.

    On the leg, the lace is complemented by tiny bobbles, evoking seed pods - the perfect fit for a pair of spring socks.

    The Barça Memories Socks are a lovely toe-up design which combines slip stitches, twisted stitch cables and soothing stockinette.

    I love that the gusset increases sit on the sole of the foot, not interrupting the beautiful line of textured stitch patterns on top of the foot and leg.
