Hello friends! Can you believe it is nearly time to release a new issue of our magazine? Issue 7 is coming on March 24, and we have the print copies patiently waiting in the Wool Cave to be packaged up and shipped out to their new homes!
The packaging is actually going to begin very soon, as copies get shipped out early to our subscription customers. This is just one of the perks that come with being a Making Stories subscriber, so we thought it would be a good time to do a little deep-dive into all the benefits you get right here on the blog, but first of all, let's see how our Annual Subscriptions work!
Easy-peasy, right? No more working out if you are subscribed to the next issue or worrying about having to renew, you can sit back and wait for the (early!) delivery of your copy. And if that wasn't enough, subscribing also comes with a bunch of other benefits.
When you subscribe to Making Stories Magazine, it comes at a 15% discount compared to the individual copy prices!
With your subscription, you automatically receive a thank you gift of our e-book Head, Hands & Toes straight to your inbox at the time of purchase. It contains three of our popular patterns; Berlin Winter Hat, Winterfold Mittens and Near & Far Socks. Check out the patterns below!
Your purchase of the print subscription automatically includes a digital version too! You'll get an email with a download link immediately after purchase.
You can also add your digital copy to your Ravelry library by entering the download code printed on the first page of the magazine. You can also access your digital downloads at any time on our website as they are also stored in the 'My Library' section in your customer account.
For the release of Issue 7, we are also launching the sale of a selection of the yarns that are featured in this issue, along with some special kits we are putting together for some of the patterns. Subscribers will get early access to the sale of these yarns and kits to give them the option of having their order shipped out with their copy of Issue 7! So when your magazine arrives, you will have everything you need to cast on straight away!
Just in case you didn't already know, here are some of the reasons we think Making Stories is pretty special:
Do you have any questions about our subscriptions? Are you already a subscriber and looking forward to Issue 7?! Let us know in the comments below!
Comments will be approved before showing up.

About three weeks ago, I had surgery. Nothing major, and it was planned - but it was my first time undergoing general anaesthesia and facing an uncertain recovery period, both of which made me quite nervous. I knew that I was going to be in the hospital for two days, if everything went well, but then it was between one and three weeks of recovering at home, depending on how fast my body was going to heal.
Needless to say, I packed knitting for the hospital, but I didn’t feel like picking up my needles until my second day in the hospital. And then I knit. I knit, and knit, and knit. Curiously enough, I always get the urge to clear off my needles this time of the year - something about the weather changing, sweater season approaching, maybe? And this year, this urge coincided with me wanting to do something while watching copious amounts of Netflix without having to think very hard about what I was going to knit. Win win!
