Lovely, but thinner than I expected

I used the wool for the Schneeflöckchenhat and I love the FO. I had the kit with the green. Maybe the green could be a little bit darker for a deeper contrast. But it's wonderful to knit with the wool. Sturdy but not ichy ant it's nice to wear.

About Rosemary & Pines Fiber Arts Luster Sock DK - The Yarn

Annika, the fabulous designer of the Schneeflöckchen Hat pattern, is also a fantastic natural dyer. She only works with organic yarns and carefully sourced dye materials. We're so happy to be able to offer a very (very) limited amount of Yarn Kits for Schneeflöckchen, so if you want to knit the pattern in the original yarn, this is your chance!

Annika's Luster Sock DK is a 100% organic German Merino wool yarn. It's sourced, spun and handdyed with natural dyes in Germany. Like all our yarns, it's non-superwash, plastic- and mulesing-free.

The yarn is durable, but soft and has a beautiful bounce and sheen to it, which make it perfect for Schneeflöckchen. We're offering three kits, all with Snow as the main color and these contrasting colors: Fog is a cool blue-grey dyed with indigo and oak galls, Golden Autumn a warm yellow from onion skins, and Pine a soothing green made with indigo and goldenrod.

What the Kit Includes

  • Enough yarn to make Schneeflöckchen in any size (100g / 3.53oz main color, 10g / 0.35oz contrasting color)
  • If you'd like to add the pattern, simply add the Schneeflöckchen Hat to your cart.
