You know how much we love a good, all-natural sock yarn - and Ovis Et Cetera's "Close" is as close to perfect as it gets. Custom-spun by John Arbon Textiles in the UK, it's a delightful blend of Devon Closewool, Exmoor Blueface and Zwartbles from sheep flocks that live close to the mill. In its undyed shape, it's a beautiful heathered grey, and when Saskia adds her dyeing magic to it, it transforms into the most gorgeous glowing jewel tones.
Close is spun with a little bit of extra twist for increased durability. It has great stitch definition and a bit of a halo, which makes it ideal for cables, texture, and soothing stockinette. Plus, it works really, really well for colorwork!

It's no secret that Hanna Lisa adores knitting - and wearing - socks. The "Not-So-Vanilla Vanilla Socks" are the perfect canvas for showing off that gorgeous hand-dyed skein of yarn you've had in your stash forever, or for your first foray into all-natural sock yarns.
The pattern is graded to 5 sizes and comes with measuring instructions and a little calculation exercise to ensure the perfect, snug fit on your own foot. They're knit toe-up with a Fleegle's Heel - Hanna Lisa's absolute favorite heel to fit a medium-to-high instep.
Walden are timeless socks that are worked from the cuff down.
The cuff is knitted in a 1x1 ribbing with twisted knit stitches. On a reverse stockinette stitch background there are travelling twisted stitch patterns on both sides of the leg. Small cables emerge from the upper pattern, lead towards the ankle and transform into small lines that run along the sides of the foot towards the toes. The heels are reinforced by a variation of the slipped stitch heel pattern and a round French heel, giving a perfect fit.
The socks are for adventurous beginners who want to dip their toes into slip stitch knitting but are also fun for the more experienced knitter.
The Orage socks, designed by Elena Solier Jansà, are knitted cuff down, with a heel flap and French heel. The pattern features a cable motif that works as the ribbing and represents lightning.
Here's Elena about the inspiration behind her pattern: "I have been inspired by the electric storms that I could see when living in France so I decided to name it after the beautiful word for ‘storm’ in French: Orage."
Light reflecting on the multitude of facets in a dark red, almost black gemstone, every once in a while resulting in a bright sparkling moment - the inspiration behind the Garnet socks can be seen in the twisting and flowing of the stitches and the eyelets that let the tiniest amount of skin shine. Paired with a luminous yarn that provides an incredible depth of colour, these socks, designed by us, deserve a special place in your sock drawer.
The Wild Grass socks by Fiona Alice are inspired by the microscopic cross cuts of cells which are beautifully represented in the delicate, crescent-shaped lace motif. On the leg, the lace is complemented by tiny bobbles, evoking seed pods!
The Wild Grass socks are worked from the toe up. The motif is mirrored, with different charts for the left and right foot. The bobbles on the upper part of the leg are created with a crochet hook. The final leg length will vary slightly depending on the desired length of the foot. The socks are finished off with a cuff of twisted ribbing.
