What the Kit Includes

5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7) [8, 8, 9, 9] skeins of The Fibre Co.'s Cumbria - enough yarn to make the Bouquet Sweater in your chosen size, including a little bit extra so that you can swatch comfortably without worrying about running out of yarn.

About Bouquet - The Pattern

Bouquet is the kind of sweater that's effortless to wear and works with everything, and also gets compliments left, right and center. It's central lace motif, inspired by the blooming flower beds in the designer's garden, is worked up in a heavier-than-usual-yarn for lace patterns, making it a rhythmic, enjoyable knit.

Designed by Maria Magnusson for our Issue 9 - In Bloom.

About The Fibre Co.'s Cumbria - The Yarn

The Fibre Co.'s Cumbria is a classic, worsted-weight yarn that knits up with a lovely crisp stitch definition and next-to-skin softness. It combines South American Merino for softness, English Masham wool for warmth, and Argentinian Mohair for lustre and strength. A great yarn for everyday knitwear that you want to last a long, long time!

Questions about our Kits?

Check out our Kit FAQs:

Yes! All our kits include a little bit more yarn than the pattern calls for so that you can comfortably knit up your swatches.

Yes! All the yarn you'll receive will be from the same dyelot.

Yes and yes! You can purchase any extra skeins (say, if you want to lengthen the sweater or sleeves) at the same time as purchasing your kit. Simply head over to the individual yarn listing of the yarn included in the kit and add the skeins you'd like to purchase extra to the cart. Shipping will be combined, and we'll always match the dyelots.

You'll need knitting needles of the size(s) that will get you the gauge stated in the pattern. You'll also need the items listed under "Notions" in the "Pattern Details" section. Please note that our knitting kits - unless otherwise stated - do not include the pattern.

We're here to help you with any questions that you might have on the pattern! You can always send us an email to hello@making-stories.com and we'll help you out.

We also have tons of articles on our blog that focus on helping you get the best results for you in your knitting as well as our resource page where we have links to videos and tutorials for every technique used in our patterns.

All our yarns are non-superwash, so any project is best washed by hand in lukewarm (not hot!) water, using a little bit of wool wash or gentle soap. Take care not to wring the fabric, but gently squish any excess water out of it, wrap it in a towel, roll it up, and do a little "dance on the towel" to press any remaining water out of the sweater. Then, lay it flat to dry.

We also have a few articles on the blog with our favorite tips how to care for your knits!
