One of my favorite things to do in the spring is take a slow, gentle walk through whatever bit of nature is closest. This can be our neighborhood park, a forest up at the Baltic Sea, or just a stroll down the sidewalk – nature is everywhere, and this time of the year, she shows herself in tiny first snowdrops peaking out of the ground, hints of green on dark brown branches, and delightful pink and violet crocuses peppering the lawns.
While I'm a little sad that fall is over, I have a deep desire to head outdoors. Spring is in the air – and it feels fresh and invigorating! It might still be a little chilly (good for hand-knit socks!), but moving my body and watching nature unfurl her limbs slowly makes me incredibly happy.
I hope you love the April Yarn as much as I do, and I can't wait to see what you knit with it!

I love the Petal Drop Socks for their wearable lace pattern – lace socks can be tricky, but these look super fun to knit and will still keep your feet warm! The perfect sock pattern for spring, and the perfect companion for Zakami Yarns' gorgeous speckles.

A little shawlette is a wonderful accessory to have on hand in the spring - slightly chilly walks might call for something to keep your neck warm! Brenda's Dunluce Shawl is a fantastic canvas for the April yarn with its garter stitch and integrated iCords (no purling!)

If you want to have a little something special on your feet, but keep the majority of your socks in stockinette stitch to show off those stunning speckles, Helen Stewart's Studiolo Socks might be right up your alley! Their cute geometric cuff will look great peeking out over sneakers, and the stockinette leg and foot allow the yarn to shine.
