  • Woolly Mammoth Fibre Co. Zwartbles x Blue Texel

Notify me when this product is available:

I am so delighted that we get carry this delicious new Limited Edition Yarn by Woolly Mammoth Fibre Co.! Emma has a great eye for sourcing fleeces, and the ones that went into this yarn were grown only 10 miles from her home in Northern Ireland.

It’s a blend of Zwartbles and Blue Texel, spun up in Wales to a lofty, bouncy, woollen-spun yarn. At 365 meters / 400 yards per 100g, it’s technically a Fingering weight, but it knits up beautifully at a host of different gauges.

When I first started out on this journey of having yarns in our shop, one of my dreams was for us to become a hub for those smaller scale, limited edition, possibly hand-dyed yarns that are hard to get as well as offer sustainable yarns from bigger companies. This yarn is one of a few coming in 2023 that will get us closer to this dream!

    Holding Hands Mittens

The Holding Hands Mittens is a pattern by our friend Claire Walls - my absolute go-to mitten pattern for adults! It comes with three variations: One is a classic mitten, another a
pair of fingerless gloves, and the third a mix of both with a buttoned flap.

A thumb gusset, two cuff lengths, and a swath of garter stitch ensure that no matter which variation you knit, they‘ll fit you perfectly and will keep your hands toasty warm all winter long.

    Boirina Sweater

Elena Solier Jansà's Boirina is an everyday and easy to knit sweater, a timeless piece for every wardrobe.

It's knitted bottom up and in the round, with drop-shoulder sleeves making it super wearable. The sweater features a "secret" cable panel on both sides that continues in the sleeves. With a recommended ease of 20-25 cm / 8-10” at the bust, the sweater gives a relax fit that suits every body type.
