    We are so thrilled to welcome you to our Sustainable Sock Club, the Skein Edition!

    The "Skein" edition is the little sibling of our Sustainable Sock Club Box. It's perfect for you if you love gorgeous natural sock yarn, and have enough stitch markers to last you a lifetime :)

    When you become a member of the Sustainable Sock Club – Skein Edition, you'll get a skein of 100% natural, non-superwash, plastic-free sock yarn every quarter. The yarn sourced from a different indie dyer every quarter – we try to find a good balance between bases – and hand-dyed in an exclusive colorway by them. Your first skein is our January Skein, themed "Replenish".

    Our Sustainable Sock Club January Skein will ship in November. Membership slots will be open until October 3, end of day, or we sell out.

    How our Sustainable Sock Club works:

    As part of our Sustainable Sock Club - Skein Edition, you get our exclusive quarterly sock yarn right to your doorstep. The yarn you'll receive is always 100% natural fibers, i.e. no nylon or other artificial strengthener added (hooray for being plastic-free) and non-superwash. Your club membership will automatically renew each quarter. You can pause or cancel your membership up to two months before the next skein arrives.

    Frequently asked questions about our sock skein subscription

    We're shipping out your Sock Skein about a month before the official open date, so it should arrive by the mid, latest the end of the last month of the previous quarter. (Example: We're shipping out our October Sock Skein by the beginning of September, it should arrive with you mid to end of September.)

    If it hasn't arrived with you a couple of days before the start of the quarter, please get in touch with us!

    Our standard shipping option for our Sock Boxes comes in at:

    • Germany: €5.90 (DHL Paket)
    • EU & UK: €6.90
    • US: €10.90
    • All other countries: €10.90

    It does not include tracking, but we can upgrade you to tracked shipping! Simply add a note during checkout or send us an email (hello@making-stories.com) and we'll send you an invoice for the shipping upgrade.

    Additional shipping cost for upgrade to tracked:

    • Germany: Already includes tracking
    • EU & UK: €3
    • US: €2
    • All other countries: €2

    No, no need to manually renew your subscription! Once you're subscribed, your subscription will auto-renew on the first day of the second month of the quarter (i.e. Feb 1 for the May Skein, May 1 for the July Skein, Aug 1 for the October Skein, Dec 1 for the January Skein).

    Yes, you can! To do so, you need to create a customer account with us with the same email address you used to purchase your subscription. (You can also create account right when you check out!)

    You can then pause or cancel your subscription up until the renewal date, i.e. the 1st of the month of the second month in the quarter (up until Aug 1 for the October Skein, Dec 1 for the January Skein, Feb 1 for the April Skein, May 1 for the July Skein).

    If you have a customer account with us (which we recommend for any subscription), you can log in and change your shipping address in your account.
