    Theme: Growth

Issue 3 explores the topic of Growth with patterns that reflect this inspiration both in their stitch patterns and construction. All of them have been selected with an eye towards versatility in wearing as we're entering spring and autumn, both transitional seasons where layering is key. Our editorial content complements the theme by looking at Growth from different angles: business growth and sustainability, follower growth on Social Media and authenticity, and growing to appreciate your body.

    Yes, we do print sustainably.

We print on 100% recycled paper – and we are super proud to have found one that lets our photos and patterns shine!

They're crisp and true to their original colors. The secret? Our awesome printer, Königsdruck Berlin (local to us, yay!)

They work with an LED-offset printing machine that dries the ink right after it's applied to the paper. That way, it can't sink in and the colors stay as glowy and beautiful as possible.

The best part though? The machine is completely climate-neutral.

    We're the ones who care.

We started Making Stories because we deeply believe in the power of two things: sustainability and knitting.

Stitching sustainability into every aspect of life (and business) can not only help us save this beautiful planet, but also lead a more fulfilling life.

That being said, we believe sustainability looks different for everyone. Finding what exactly it means for you and making decisions that reflect that in your daily life is incredibly empowering.

We're here to help you with that in your favorite pastime, knitting.

    Issue 3: Growth

Another wonderful issue from Making Stories! I read Alina Jordan’s essay “Growing Down” and had renewed appreciation for all that knitting has given me. In exchange, I find that I often look for ways to pass along the benefits of knitting, whether with finished items for family and friends, teaching others to knit, or with contributions to charity knitting. There are so many ways to share the benefits of knitting.
Once again, the patterns are wonderful and a good mix of shawls, sock and sweaters. I am looking forward to knitting Claire Walls lovely Northbound, which combines elegance and style. I hope I do it justice. It may be too late this year to knit and enjoy a linen Pale Shelter. There is always next yesr, and I will be ready for it!
