October Sock Box [Ready to Ship]

Notify me when this product is available:

We are so thrilled to launch our first ever Sock Box - just in time for Socktober! For the next year, we'll be launching a new Sock Box every quarter. (Want to get all four? You can! Head over here for our Year of Socks subscription.)

Each Sock Box includes 100g sustainable sock yarn, a set of stitch markers or progress keepers, a surprise haberdashery / joy-bringing item, and a pattern inspiration email.

For our October Sock Box, we've worked with...

  • ... Saskia from Ovis Et Cetera who has dyed up a stunning exclusive sock set (yes, you heard that right - it's the first box, so you get a bit more than our usual 100g of sustainable yarn in your Sock Box!)
  • ... Clara from Studio C Yarn who has created a beautiful set of stitch markers
  • ... Raissa from Raissa's Artworks, a Hamburg-based artist (and I'm not saying more because it would spoil the surprise!)

All the beautiful products in this first box were based on our inspiration story for October:

From Hanna Lisa: "Last fall, we went on a beautiful, calm fall walk through Lübars, a small village on the outskirts of Berlin. It sits in the middle of fields and a nature reserve, and the golden stalks of wheat and fountain grass were swaying in the wind.

The sky was a brilliant blue, almost translucent. On our way back through the village center, we admired the cobble stones and the old inn with its huge chestnut trees, the leaves just starting to turn.

When I first played with the idea of doing sock boxes, I knew that I wanted the fall one to reflect these colors, and the sense of calm and spaciousness I felt on that walk."

The exact products will be a surprise, but you can get a feeling for the color palette we're going for with the photos you see in this listing. Lastly - all the artists we've worked with are absolutely amazing, and you do not want to miss out on this box!

PS: If you prefer to not use silk, we would recommend skipping the October Sock Box and keeping an eye out for our January one.

J’en suis encore à admirer la laine. Je sais que je veux tricoter les chaussettes Kinhu, je n’ai plus qu’à me faire offrir Traditions Revisited: Modern Estonian Knits !

What a delightful package full of loveliness. The hardest decision now is choosing a pattern to cast on.

A perfect autumnal Sock box

I got my sock box!!! Living in Berlin I was lucky to get it today, and I’m not going to tell details of the content, just: a big thank you to Hanna Lisa, I see your carefully loving work with every item and I am delighted.
The yarn is so beautiful, the colors are perfect for the season, and the fine shine and the softness , which comes from that silk-ramie-add to the wool, are gorgeous. I love Ramie, not so often used being a tricky raw material, as far as I know.
I am having a tea and trying to decide about which sock pattern to choose, they are all very special and look like giving a lot of fun while knitting them..
I am looking forward for more boxes to come!
